Max is a visual programming software that allows the users to connect objects with patch cords and create interactive sounds and graphics. The purpose of building this patch in Max was to show a simple exercise. This patch plays a quicktime video that I created and brought into my patch. I used the expression “jit.movie” twice with two different arguments to set different pixel dimensions for the playback of my quicktime movie. They are then mixed together and overlapping each other because of the “MIXFADR” from the Vizzie tab. I’ve used two effects from the Vizzie tab as well, the “FRACTALIZR” whici is making the video split into the four parts, and the “KALEIDR” which is causing the video to look like it is in a kaleidoscope.
