Imaginary Landscape 1

ImaginaryLandscape

My intent for this piece was to create an imaginary landscape. I wanted something to have a surreal look. The mix of high and low contrast on each of the layers helps to make certain areas of the image stand out more. The most successful part of this piece was the moon in the sky and getting it to just partially appear without losing its shape. The most unsuccessful part of this project was trying to fill in the empty space in the middle where the dragon appears. The dragon fills in the space, but it doesn’t look quite right.
